Have you ever played backgammon? Have you ever been in a helicopter?
Ok, so you have. And have you ever played backgammon from a helicopter? Yeah, I didn’t think you had. :)
Well someone is about to. As I’ve read today in a press release from Backgammon Masters (the online backgammon site), they will be organizing a huge backgammon tournament, which will try to break the world record for the farthest dice toss, and it will be played from a helicopter.
Two famous backgammon players will be inside that helicopter and will play a full backgammon match from up there, tossing the dice to a gigantic backgammon board on the ground.
The board is a huge field shaped like a backgammon board, and the checkers are huge too. So are the dice, about 3 feet in diameter.
This is expected to become the “farthest backgammon dice tossing” ever, creating a record for it and it will even appear in the Guiness Gamer World Records.
The helicopter and the safety measures and procedures involving it will be in charge of Quentin Smith, a famous expeditioner and pilot who has crossed deserts and reached arctic territories in extreme conditions.
In this huge backgammon tournament, there will be special tickets being sold, but all the proceeds will go to charity.
All this is also intended to promote the backgammon masters Freeroll tournaments held in BackGammonMastsers.com every Tuesday and Friday.
